ALL ABOUT ME! Well, this
is going to be the really riveting bit. (Irony!)
I'm an illustrator. I've been an illustrator since I left art
college in 1978, and the trouble with being an illustrator is
this: you rarely get to move away from the drawing board. So not
a huge lot happens worth writing about.
Well, OK, stuff DOES happen from time to time. I got married,
for example, to Angie and I have a smashing stepdaughter (Lucy),
a great stepson (Wills) and a lovely daughter (Hattie). And a
couple of months ago Angie, Hattie and I moved from Lincoln, in
the UK, to Cardinal in Ontario, Canada - where they forced us to
learn to ice-skate. I continue to work for the same publishers
in the UK, Canada and USA that I worked for before we left
(although my schedule was not so much disrupted as obliterated
by the move. Have you any idea how much hassle is involved in
shifting your life from one country to another? It's a
nightmare!)
I'll get some pictures up on this page soon, and I'll get a
blog going as soon as I can work out what to write about. In the
meantime - here are a few pictures. Lucy and Wills didn't make
the leap across the water with us (they are all grown up and
have lives and friends of their own) - but there they are in the
first picture. Bob and Beezer are the two cats we brought with
us; as you can see they're settling in quite well.
