Animation

I've always been fascinated by animation, and spent some time dabbling at art college back in the late 1970s. As with all things, computer technology has taken over: cow gum and Letraset gave way to Photoshop and InDesign; acetate and 8mm film gave way to Adobe Animate. It was empowering, and I did my first animation to a brief in 2014. I've done a few since then, and though the learning curve has been steep and often precarious, it's been endlessly interesting - though I'm shocked every time at how time consuming it can be.

In the animations below, I am responsible for the visuals: the background, characters and animation. A company called Left Field Digital , run by Suzanne Gallant, commissioned the work, wrote the script and put the final result together with the voice-over, music and sound effects.
